Welcome to Emberstone Games

Hi, I'm Alex, the founder of Emberstone Games. I'm a passionate collector and gamer who started this store to share that passion with the Australian TCG community, with some pretty big goals for where I'd like to take it.

Emberstone Games is based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. We're starting small, initially focusing on Pokémon and other TCG products while gradually expanding our range as the business grows.

Fair Pricing

One of the things that's important to me is keeping prices fair. Collecting and playing TCGs is expensive enough already, and while Emberstone obviously needs to be sustainable as a business, the goal isn't to squeeze every possible dollar out of whatever happens to be popular that week.

As we grow and establish relationships with more distributors, there may be times where products have to be priced above their original RRP due to availability or what they cost us to source.

My approach to prices is simple: If I looked at the price as a collector and wouldn't feel comfortable paying it myself, I don't want to ask our customers to pay it either.

That doesn't mean we'll always be the cheapest store around, but it does mean I'll do my best to make sure the prices we put on products are ones I believe are reasonable and fair.

Where We're Going

The long-term goal for Emberstone is much bigger than an online store.

I'd eventually love to open a brick-and-mortar TCG, TTRPG and hobby space here on the Sunshine Coast - somewhere to buy and trade cards, play games, attend events, discover new hobbies, or just hang out with people who are into the same stuff.

Basically, a fun and welcoming place for us all to talk about shiny cardboard and the stupid characters we've rolled up.

We're a long way from there yet, but that's what we're building towards.

Growing From the Beginning

Emberstone Games is still in its very early days, and I'm genuinely excited to grow it alongside the community.

That means the range will grow, the website will improve, and there'll probably be plenty we have to learn along the way. If there's something you'd like to see us stock, something you think we could do better, or you just want to yap about cards or games, I'd love to have a chat!
